Hey man ! I appreciate you bringing up “the struggling” but not with mental health stuff. I can relate. I really don’t think people understand (because we are only now letting people in on what it’s like} to go through serious bouts of depression how exhausting how time consuming. Like trying so hard everyday to carry a really heavy log around while swimming. When this log finally falls and we are liberated from the depths, we are now at a deficit and need to continue forward to build. I think the struggle may be this. Trying to keep up with whatever it is we are trying to keep up with, but have been pulled down by this log. while everyone continued to swim forward. Now, we have to swim hard to get back but we’ve perhaps lost confidence in our swim, in our stride. It’s confusing and difficult to navigate.

I recently heard all three of the episodes and really loved them. I discover you because the cooking show and loved your personality. then you talk about your depression and your pregnancy and i was really blown away by the fact you open up and talk about this taboo kind of thing because in social media is always the happiness and good things and i liked to see how you were portraying this part of your life really raw. Im recently struggling with mental illness and your videos and podcast and post has helped me feel less alone in this. thank youu. please dont stop this, really looking forward for the next episode.

Idk how no one commented on this yet but this episode was hilarious! What Elizabeth shared about that post about her friend’s sister was really valuable for me to hear. Thank you both! I’m so happy you’re making content again Laura- I love your stuff!

Awesome! Super vivid and relatable descriptions of depression. Very interesting to hear about post-partum depression. Really deep and moving letter from the brother to the sister- a “victim of abuse.” I truly enjoyed hearing that perspective. Thanks for this guys!!

I really enjoying listening to your podcast. It was funny and honest and intense all at the same time. You both sound like cool, smart open women.., and I appreciate that! I would love to bump into both of you at yr local coffee shop. Keep up the good work.
